Singing daughters

So proud of my daughters. My wife enrolled them at the Henry Martin School of Music. They had a recital last June 4 at the Phil-Am Life auditorium.

I know the kids have good voices and can carry a tune, but I really didn’t expect them to be so confident on stage, with more than 200 people watching. Ani, the eldest, who’s 11, had a solo number — “Paraiso” — with three other recitalists doing backup.

And Alessi, my six-year-old, sang “Lupa Man”, and I was amazed to see this little girl in the middle of that big stage singing like she didn’t care if anybody was listening or not. She had an even bigger voice than the eldest, and she got good applause.
