Winning team

GMANews.TV was named at the Philippine Web Awards last Thursday as Best Media Website, and editor in chief Malou Mangahas got an award for her 10-word acceptance speech: “Sa Pilipino sa buong mundo, GMANews.TV, serbisyong totoo, bente-kwatro road.”

Her speech for getting that second award was just as brief: “Dahil hindi natutulog ang balita, GMANews.TV, gising kami, araw-gabi.”

Most of the GMANews.TV staff attended the awarding rites at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium Podium 4 of the RCBC Plaza in Makati. 

Three of us were left behind in the office — dahil hindi nga natutulog ang balita. So I covered the event in real-time by watching the live webcast.

It feels good to be part of a winning team.
